Villaraigosa Names LA Homeland Security Guru

Mayor Villaraigosa has named 37 year old Arif Alikhan as his new deputy mayor in charge of homeland security.

Alikhan, an attorney, worked for the US Justice Department for over eight years. He worked at Justice previously with City Councilman Jack Weiss.

The new deputy mayor cites his background as a Muslim as a benefit to help him in his work on the war on terror.

Worked for 8 years at the Justice Department?

He'll have the same effect in stopping terrorism as Bill Clinton--none at all.

But they will give all Al-Queda affiliates in Los Angeles a glass of milk and an apology for living in a free country.
